Wollstonecraft, NSW
Project Overview
The residence was built before the Second World War. The existing residence was very simple in both design and character before the additions and renovations were completed. It was our job to bring the architect’s design concept to a satisfactory conclusion by using our expertise in carpentry and brickwork. We worked with the very best tradesman to achieve a superior standard of finish, which was achieved to the architect’s satisfaction.
The client had a limited budget for this renovation, so we worked closely with the architect in the budgeting of the chosen finishes. We paid particularly close attention to the detailed carpentry, brickwork and roof work, as this was vital to the architect’s design. Some of the features of the project were as follows:
- Design pacific bi-fold doors and windows all made from Western Red Cedar.
Vaulted roof and ceiling with colourbond roof sheeting.
Detailed brickwork.
130mm wide blackbutt hardwood strip timber flooring to family/kitchen/dining areas.
Architect Testimonial
“I have worked with Peter O’Carroll of P & N O’Carroll Design & Construction on two residential projects in the past few years and have found him both reliable and helpful in the successful completion of both projects.
“Peter’s work has been appreciated by both sets of clients. In both projects, Peter has taken the time to help resolve client desires within the constraints of tight budgets.
“I appreciated Peter’s assistance during the building process and the quality of finish achieved in each project, on time and within these tight budgets.”
